Our Quality Checkers play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. Through their invaluable insights and feedback, we can continuously improve the quality of our offerings and ensure they meet the needs and expectations of our stakeholders.
We have 10 people we support from 8 different services that are trained as Quality Checkers.
Once a year, Quality Checkers and supporters visit all Care and Support services to check how things are going. Using large print cards with pictures, our Quality Checkers speak to the people who receive support and ask them about their activities, their staff, their home, what’s going well and what could be better. This is a chance for people we support to provide feedback in a safe and supportive space.
In addition to speaking to people we support, Quality Checkers also look at the environment. This includes any shared spaces like lounges, kitchens and bathrooms; as well as offices, sleeping rooms and gardens. Our Quality Checkers point out things that look really good, such as cleanliness and decoration; and flag things that could be better, such as broken or worn furniture, or health and safety concerns. Any concerns are sent to our Quality Team and the area managers or housing in order to get things right as soon as possible.
