In 2021, Outward allocated funding for the Community Engagement team to co-create a series of videos with people we support with learning disabilities and autism that explored some of Outward’s policies and important topics.
We worked alongside professional theatre facilitators to lead workshops on each of our chosen subjects, which involved having conversations with people we support to discover what was important about the topics to them, creating art and props to aid in the videos, and developing performance skills. One person even created some original music to feature in the video!
The subjects we explored were:
- Outcomes
- Equality & Diversity
- Staying Safe Online
- Wellbeing
