Elena  became Outward’s Director of HR and Corporate Services in September 2024.

Elena brings more than 15 years of senior HR leadership experience across multiple sectors, including non-profits and public organisations. Her strategic focus on aligning HR functions with organisational goals has been key to managing complex transitions and fostering inclusive, collaborative workplace cultures.

Elena is passionate about empowering teams and driving cultural change, having led UK-award-winning people strategies and workforce development programmes. Her expertise extends to employee engagement and relations, EDI, and Learning & Development strategies, all of which support her vision of embedding Outward’s values of Engage, Enable, and Empower across the organisation.

With a deep commitment to purpose-led organisations, Elena is particularly inspired by the work Outward does in social care. She is driven by the opportunity to create a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals, ensuring that the organisation’s people strategy aligns with its mission to deliver caring, inclusive, and empowering services.

Nicky took over as Outward’s CEO and Newlon Housing Trusts Director of Supported Housing in November 2021 following the retirement of the previous long standing CEO, Peter Little.

Nicky has worked in adult social care for over 30 years managing registered care homes and supported housing for people with a learning disability before moving over to a range of senior and executive quality assurance and business development roles. Nicky is proud to have progressed from a support worker to leading the organisation to future success as Chief Executive Officer.  Delivering caring yet empowering, inclusive services that truly meet people’s aspirations is the driving factor for Nicky in her new role.  Outside of her Outward role Nicky is a trustee for a London based homeless charity and a volunteer befriender.

Katie studied social Pedagogy in Germany and has a background in education and children's services. Katie started out working in a care home as a student and has worked in learning disability services for the past ten years in the UK, supporting directly as well as holding local, operational and senior management roles.

Katie has been in her current role since June 2016. She is the director of all learning disabilities services and the CQC nominated individual for Outward. Responsible for ensuring compliance, Katie is committed to bringing to life our mission to deliver high-quality personalised services for the people we support.

Emma has worked for registered providers for the past 18 years within both Supported and General Housing stock and specifically within the Newlon Group for last 14 years. Having moved from Newlon as an income officer in 2012,  Emma has progressed into various management roles within Outward. She is responsible for ensuring that all housing stock is of a decent standard, comfortable and safe.

The Housing department work with a number of partner landlords across nine London Boroughs. Emma is responsible for the Housing department and all compliance in relation to rent collection, service charges, and buildings Health and Safety.

She is committed to providing homes to tenants and service users that empower people to live independently.
